Your pet will benefit from a wellness exam every 6 months to one year, depending on their health and pre-existing conditions. During the wellness exam, our veterinarian will check “nose-to-tail” for any issues and examine your pet’s overall health.

Radiology and Ultrasound.
X-rays are extremely important and helpful in the diagnosis of many medical conditions and diseases such as tumors, foreign bodies (lodged in the stomach or the intestine), heart and lung disease, gastrointestinal problems and bladder stones.
Endoscopy.
This device is used to look at the upper and lower gastrointestinal tracts. With an endoscope, our veterinarians can look at the esophagus, stomach, and some areas of the intestine.
Diagnostic Laboratory.
Lakeside Animal Hospital conducts a diagnostic analysis of animal specimens to identify diseases. These specimens range from a blood sample or piece of tissue. Our pathologists work to fulfill our mission: To provide an accurate, timely diagnosis of animal disease. Our diagnostic laboratory is capable of processing many different diagnostic tests such as complete blood counts (CBC); blood chemistry panels; parasite testing to detect the presence of heartworms, roundworms, and other internal parasites; bacterial and fungal cultures, and viral screens.
